program notes:
This composition explores the changing possibilities of sound as light reflected on water. Sound materials evolve; the melodic materials ripple themselves and shape the form, reflecting their timbral characteristics. The perception of reflected sounds is aided by instrumental spatialisation, which plays a role of fundamental importance. From an initial stable harmonic situation, the sound structure evolves towards more unstable moments, sometimes returning to calm down in the memory of the first tranquility. The musical figures are iridescent and change like light on the ripples of the water.
